Taking these small steps on your healing journey shows great courage. The daily challenges of life can leave us feeling tired, stressed, anxious, and unmotivated. We can sometimes find ourselves cruising on autopilot and find ourselves neglecting our needs. Now is the time to pour into yourself. Gaining insight, increasing self awareness, and feeling confident in yourself are just a few things you can gain from therapy in an open and honest space. You are deserving of grace and compassion and I am excited to walk alongside you on your journey!

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for you to explore and identify any problems. In session, I want you to feel heard and seen. Together, we can challenge your negative thoughts and work on releasing any unhelpful patterns that you see yourself stuck in. I will work with you on identifying strengths and building the confidence to navigate life’s challenges.

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor. I received my degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northern Arizona University. I utilize a variety of approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy and EMDR (in training). In session I will provide you with tools and support to work with you on your healing journey. At this time, I offer in-person and tele-health sessions for adolescents and adults. I am currently under the supervision of Jessie DeVerna, LPC.

Fast-paced lifestyles (ever changing, unpredictable) can leave us desiring calmness and serenity. Everyone deserves a life that is fulfilling and to feel empowered. An individual should feel that they have the ability to change their circumstances and lead a life with less worry and stress. Adolescents and young adults have different worries and stressors and are often searching for a sense of self. Helping them understand that feelings and emotions are real and worthy is an important part of growth and development.

Each person is unique and individual needs will be met with a variety of therapeutic interventions while utilizing collaboration that will allow the client to discover their own strengths and solutions. I offer a holistic approach with whole body wellness focus. I have spent the majority of my life working with youth and have experience with adolescents with severe emotional disturbances in school and counseling settings. I truly enjoy the interactions and moments of clarity experienced in counseling young people ages 12-30 and also welcome young adults who would like to create change in their lives. I currently offer in person and telehealth sessions. I am currently under the supervision of Jessie DeVerna LPC.

When we let the everyday redundancy of life “just happen” we tend to forget to take care of ourselves and live to our full potential. Life is short and living in unhappiness is not your destiny. Intentional living is what I help you to achieve by utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches and models.

Whether it be past trauma that we need to work through, self hate that you have developed over the years, cycles of depression and anxiety or unhealthy sexualized behaviors; I will walk with you and break down the barriers that have built a home in your brain to begin healing and true fulfillment.

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults of all ages who have a genuine desire to feel better. I have a gentle approach when needed but will also hold you accountable to your goals for yourself. I often assign homework outside of session, which increases success rates in therapy and decreases the amount of time you will be in our Scottsdale therapy sessions.
