We understand that reaching out to start the journey of therapy can be a difficult step. That's why we strive to create a welcoming environment where you know what to expect from day one, making the process as easy as possible for you. Please note consultation is completely optional, we are more than happy to set up an initial appointment at your request.

Step 1: Initial Contact

When you first contact our practice, you can expect to schedule an initial 15-minute consultation to ensure we match you with a provider who fits your needs. We will go through initial intake steps and questions to understand your needs and what it is you are looking to work on, availability, preference for in-person or telehealth sessions, and insurance information.


Step 3: Moving Forward

If you decide to move forward after the consultation, we will gather additional information to set you up in our patient portal. This will include gathering any personal information, insurance details, and any other relevant information.

Step 2: Consultation

During the scheduled consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your needs and concerns with a provider. This session will help us understand your unique situation and determine the best course of action moving forward. Whether you prefer in-person or telehealth sessions, we will work with you to ensure that your needs are met. This consultation is a crucial step in establishing a collaborative and effective therapeutic relationship. Step 4: Access to Patient Portal and Initial Intake Paperwork

Once we have the necessary information, you will receive an email with a link to access the patient portal. In addition, you will receive the initial intake paperwork that needs to be completed prior to your initial appointment.

Step 5: Finalizing Initial Appointment 

Before your initial appointment, our administrative team will run insurance as needed to confirm benefits and any potential out-of-pocket expenses. You will receive a final welcome email with additional information and insurance verification details.
